Dr. Paul and Margaret Hamar  Senior Pastors

Pastor Paul and Margaret Hamar met in college and they have four children. They both graduated from Northwest College in 1971 with BA's. Paul continued his education at the California Graduate School of Theology, receiving his Master of Arts in Church Administration in 1983 and his Doctorate of Ministries in Practical Theology in 1987. In 2000, he graduated from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Biblical Theology. During that time he also published a commentary on First Corinthians.

From 1971 to 1974 he was the pastor of Sheridan Assembly of God in Sheridan, Oregon and later came to the Tri-Cities to Pastor Central Assembly of God. As the church grew they found a need for a permanent home and moved to the south part of Kennewick and renamed the church, Harvest Heights Assembly of God. During the last 30 years he's remained involved in the Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God—Serving on various committees—and in the community—with the Union Gospel Mission, the Kennewick School District, a local television station, and coaching sports teams.

Paul also enjoys teaching overseas. He started in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1989 and since then has worked more extensively with the Caribbean School of Theology teaching graduate programs in Jamaica, Belize, Bahamas, and Guyana.
